Introduction | Bio-benfluthrin is a pyrethroid insecticide used to control mosquitoes in the United States (by aerial application), and can also be used in greenhouse control whitefly. It is a synthetic type I pyrethroid insecticide registered to control insects in residential, commercial and industrial environments and animal living areas. It is also registered for use in food handling agencies and used as a restricted insecticide when used in ULV sprays to control adult mosquitoes for public health. A United States Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) for mosquito control and pest control treatment in non-agricultural sites that is limited due to extreme fish toxicity. |
incompatibility | decomposed by air, light, alkaline medium and temperature 0.175 ℃. May react violently with strong oxidants, bromine, 90% hydrogen peroxide, phosphorus trichloride, silver powder or dust. Incompatible with silver compounds. A mixture with some silver compounds forms an explosive salt of silver oxalate. |
